As cleaning staff are generally highly price motivated, we offer wage rates slightly higher than the market rate, to attract the best staff. As a result, cleaning staff tend to stay with Oceanclean; thus, constant advertising and training of new staff are avoided - resulting in lower overhead costs - these then compensate for the cost of the slightly higher wage rate. Oceanclean accepts its responsibility under the Acquired Rights Directive 1981, Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations and, as such, those employees transferring to Oceanclean will retain continuity of service on terms and conditions no less favourable than those which they currently enjoy. We understand the importance of keeping all staff involved in the transfer informed before, during and after the contract start-up date, thereby minimising individual concerns.
